I still owe you my detailed notes and thoughts on this process and I'm holding those back for now, but I wanted to let you know what is up with our offer and the boat. • Sea Trial

Tomorrow Dawn and I are going to Blaine to test sail the Pearson 424 we're currently evaluating for purchase. My hope is everything goes well and the whole thing is uneventful. It would be a nice change to have some good news this week. Assuming it does go well just the Survey remains. Wish us luck...

  • Sorry so quiet...

I'm actively searching for the boat right now and have a couple of good leads and I don't want to tip off anyone. ;-) If I give up on any of the current leads I'll post details about them and lots of pics. I HIGHLY recommend you have a digital camera and take pictures of everything, it has...

  • Secondary Propulsion

One of the things I'm starting to give more thought to is the secondary propulsion system (the engine) that we'll have aboard. My goals are to have a more efficient (greener) system and one which is as quiet as possible and that the system should meet our propulsion and battery charging needs...

  • Boat Buying Getting Specific

Dawn and I are starting to go from the pure fantasy mode to the getting real mode about buying our boat and move our plans to go cruising to the next stage. Here's an email I sent here last week and thought you might like to follow (and comment on) my thought process. I looked at all the < $70K...

There is definitely a grouping of boats at US$60K and another at just shy of US$70K. With the very small numbers of boats at...
