We all know travel via wind power is the best way to love the earth, and better way to enjoy that than a tour of a very cool schooner! I recommend you walk on the ferry head over to Bainbridge Island and check it on 20 April. I think its sure to please. Seems like a good photo op. I may have to check her out myself. Here's the press release:

Or join the crew of Adventuress to raise the sails, take a turn at the helm and learn more about issues facing Puget Sound waters and marine life – and how you can make a difference! Sound Experience will offer a Public Sail on Sunday afternoon (April 20 from 1-4PM) sailing from the Bainbridge Island City Dock. All ages are welcome and no experience is required. Public Sails are $40 for adults and $20 for youth under 18 (Sound Experience Members sail for free and can join us on exclusive Member Transits!). Space is limited. Owned and operated by nonprofit Sound Experience, Adventuress carries more than 3,000 passengers on voyages throughout Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands. Originally commissioned to gather Arctic specimens, the 133-foot schooner Adventuress now sails to increase awareness of the majesty and vulnerability of the Puget Sound watershed. Adventuress is a National Historic Landmark – considered by many to be the crowning jewel of the Pacific Northwest's collection of wooden ships. In addition to paid crewmembers, dozens of Sound Experience volunteers serve as onboard educators, teaching valuable environmental education lessons while delivering powerful youth development and leadership experiences. Sound Experience offers one-day and multi-day programs for youth and adults from May through September. Program dates and descriptions can be found at www.soundexp.org.
