As promised here is a list of fees associated with buying your own boat these do not include any loan fees, or insurance:
- Sales Tax 9% of the sales price
- WA State Registration .5% of the sales price (plus some nominal fee ~$30)
- Boat Survey $14-$17/foot (varies by Surveyor)
- Haul Out - $300-$400 (varies by marina)
- Pressure wash $3-$7/foot + Environmental fees ~$70
- Title & USCG Documentation $1100
