How to save a freighter

Pretty amazing story on Wired about crews who recover freighters. This one is about the Cougar Ace which was a car carrier headed from Japan to the US when it ran aground because the crew accidentally emptied the starboard side water ballast completely as they were purging the foreign water and refilling with local water before entering the US waterways.

Hi Patrick, you're right- an amazing story.  Reads like a real-life Clive Cussler novel, only not so cheesey!

 Be safe, have fun.

We'll be blue-water cruising soon; until then, we're land-locked in Colorado.

Cheers!

Rachel
